Macca’s City Cup is back for 2025!On behalf of McDonald’s Victoria and Melbourne City FC, it’s our pleasure to welcome all teams, coaches and families participating in the 2025 Macca’s City Cup. The three-day tournament will see boys and girls teams from throughout Victoria compete in divisions from Under 7’s to Under 16’s for their chance to be crowned Macca’s City Cup Champions. Registrations are now open and we can’t wait to welcome you to Casey Fields for the best Macca’s City Cup yet!For more information on the Tournament Rules Click Here🏟 VENUESMelbourne City FC Training Ground - Casey Fields 369 Casey Fields BlvdCranbourne East Comets StadiumO'Tooles RoadCranbourne📆 DATES• Friday 28 March Most teams will play their first round match on Friday evening.• Saturday 29 MarchRound Games• Sunday 30 MarchFinals Day - All teams will play at least one game on Sunday.This is the intended schedule for the tournament however depending on the final number of teams in an age group it may vary.The Under 7 5v5 competition will take place only on Sunday 30 March while the AWD Kangaroos and Wallabies competition will only run on Saturday 29 March.AWD competitions will be 7v7 played on a half sized pitch. All other divisions as per normal Miniroos/FV competition formats.Teams may be scheduled to play on Friday Night from 6pm however this is not guaranteed due to capacity. Teams may be allocated to play unless specifically requested that they are not available to play. ⏱ TIMES When scheduling the games, we make every effort to reduce the waiting time between games so teams are not having to spend more time at the venue than they need to. Matches may be scheduled from: 6pm to 9pm on Friday Night9am to 9pm on Saturday8am to 6pm on SundayGenerally younger teams will not be allocated to commence after 6pm.If you have any issues with your teams availability on Friday or Saturday please indicate this in the requests section below. We will do our best to accommodate all requests however it may not always be possible.⚽️️ FORMAT• Qualified/Experienced referees and officials• 4 games guaranteed for all age groups U8-U16 • 3 games guaranteed for U7 (Sunday 30 March only)• 3 games guaranteed for AWD (Saturday 29 March only)• Round Robin format plus finals for U8 to U16. No finals for U7 or AWD.• Cup and Plate Divisions for finals (where there are more than 8 teams)• 3-day tournament COPA & LIGASome age groups have been divided into Copa and Liga so we can place teams in their appropriate level and make the games more competitive. Copa is for NPL, Kangaroo and A level teams; the Liga is for Wallabies/Joeys and B-D level teams. Please make sure you select the same level of competition your team will likely be playing in the 2025 FV winter season when registering.Please note Kangaroos players are not eligible to play in Liga competitions unless written permission is granted. Please email registrations@footballskool.com.au if you need to discuss your teams playing level as soon as possible but must be before March 7. For age groups with only one category, we may decide to split into a Copa and Liga depending on the number of teams and the playing level of the teams.💳 TEAM REGISTATION FEES5v5 $395 (U7)7v7 $885 (U8 and U9)9v9 $985 (U10-U13)11v11 $1,085 (U14-U16)AWD $100On average this equates to approximately $70 per player.👕SQUAD NUMBERSU7: 10 players - 5 Players on the field plus up to 5 on the benchU8-U9: 12 players - 7 players on the field plus up to 5 players on the bench.U10-U13: 14 players - 9 players on the field plus up to 5 players on the bench.U14-U16: 18 players - 11 players on the field plus up to 7 players on the bench.AWD: 15 players - 7 players on the field plus up to 8 on the bench. Teams will be guaranteed entry into the tournament only once full payment is made. If a category is full, teams will be placed on a waiting list and will only be contacted to offer them a spot if teams withdraw or additional spaces are created. All players must be registered to your team and age group• Boys is also deemed as mixed, girls can play in boys teams⏰ REGISTRATIONS CLOSE FRIDAY 7 MARCH 2024 UNLESS SOLD OUT EARLIER📧 CONTACT For queries regarding the competition please contact us via email: registrations@footballskool.com.au⚠️ ️Cancellation of the tournament due to force majeureIn the event that the tournament can’t be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the tournament organisers (force majeure*) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence or the tournament organisers, the tournament organisers cannot be held liable by the delegations for any damages, costs or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, costs for additional orders, financial losses etc. Under these circumstances, the tournament organisers reserve the right to either retain the entire registration fee and to use it for a future tournament, or to reimburse the delegations after deducting costs already incurred for the organisation of the tournament and which could not be recovered from third parties.
