REGISTRATIONS FOR 2026 NOW OPEN

On behalf of McDonald’s Victoria and Melbourne City FC, it’s our pleasure to welcome all teams, coaches and families participating in the 2026 Macca’s ®  City Cup.

The three-day tournament will see boys’ and girls’ teams from throughout Victoria compete in divisions from Under 7’s to Under 17’s for their chance to be crowned Macca’s  City Cup Champions. ​

Tournament Dates 

Friday 27 March 2026

Some teams to play first-round matches from 6 pm to  9 pm. 

• U10-U17 Teams may be scheduled to play a Friday night match from 6pm unless specifically stated to be not available on the registration form. Please ensure you list your teams availability at the time of registration.
• U7-U9 teams will not be scheduled to play.

Saturday 28 March 2026

Group matches. Matches can take place from 8 am to 9 pm.

Sunday 29 March 2026

Finals matches. Matches can take place from 8 am to 6 pm.

Tournament Divisions

Mixed (Boys and Girls teams can enter)

• U7 - 5v5  
  
  One Day Round Robin Competition Only. Sunday 29th March from approx 10am to 4pm. All players receive medals following their last match.

Boys*   

• U8 - 7v7 | Kangaroo, Wallabies and Joeys Divisions 
• U9 - 7v7 | Kangaroo, Wallabies and Joeys Divisions  
• Under 10 - 9v9 | Kangaroo, Wallabies and Joeys Divisions
• Under 11s - 9v9 | Kangaroo, Wallabies and Joeys Divisions
• Under 12s - 9v9 | Copa and Liga Divisions
• Under 13s - 9v9 | Copa and Liga Divisions
• Under 14s - 11v11 | Copa and Liga Divisions
• Under 15s - 11v11
• Under 16s - 11v11

*Female players are welcome to play in boys teams

Girls

• Under 8/9 - 7v7
• Under 10/11 - 9v9 
• Under 12/13 - 9v9
• Under 14/15 - 11v11

Currently these girls competitions are offered as combined age groups. If there is strong interest in an age group we will look to split into seperate age group or competition levels closer to the event. 

Competition Levels - Which grade should my team play?

Boys Age Groups are split into 1-3 levels of competition

Teams must enter into the approporiate division based on their 2026 Winter Season registration. Teams registering in Kangaroos or NPL/A level competitions must enter into the Kangaroos/Copa Division. Wallabies Teams enter into Wallabies and Joeys into Joeys. For U12 and above - B Grade or below can enter into Liga competitions.

Metro teams entering Wallabies/Joeys or Liga competitions are required to provide a letter signed by their Club President/Technical Director or equivilant stating that the team is registered into the 2026 Winter Season at the level that they have entered the tournament and that all players in the teams are registered at that level of competition or lower. Letter must be emailed to registrations@footballskool.com.au prior to March 6 or your team will not be included in the fixtures.

Regional teams that only play in their local competition are not required to provide a letter however strong regional representative teams should register at the appropriate level for the strength of their team rather than just the lowest division .

Please note that Kangaroo/A/NPL level players are not eligible to play in a Wallabies/Joeys or Liga competetition without written approval from the tournament.

If a Kangaroos/Copa Division is sold out in your age group and you are a Kangaroos/A/NPL Team please do not register into a Liga competition.

Academy Teams  must enter the Kangaroos/Copa division unless permission is granted from the tournament
